Staff stories and reflections on life in Rigby Group

With more than 9,000 colleagues across all of our Rigby Group companies, special stories are everywhere.

Ahead of a new group-wide staff recognition awards being launched later in the year, we sat down with some of our colleagues to find out what being part of our business means to them.

Take Charlotte Rides, who started as a receptionist at Mallory Court and is now Group Revenue Manager for the entire Eden Hotel Collection. Twenty years on, she still talks about the trust and support that have fuelled her career.

Or Benoit Boucher, SCC’s Director of Digital Workplace and Service development in France, who worked with a team of 400 to deliver SCC’s biggest ever project as Official IT Supplier of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

These are stories of growth and collaboration, of caring about creating a great working community for colleagues and customers. Nikita Odedra is a perfect example – she shares her story of leading the charge for inclusion at SCC through the REACH network.

Coming Soon: The Search for the Rigby 50

Every single part of our business has standout performers. They’re the people who set the tone, who bring our values to life in the way they work and the way they support others. They help make Rigby Group what it is.

With so much talent, our 50 th anniversary has inspired us to launch a new, one-off cross-group recognition award. In September, we’ll launch The Rigby 50: a major Group-wide recognition campaign led by the Rigby family to spotlight the people who shape our culture and inspire others.

But the search starts now.

We’re looking for the everyday heroes. The quiet achievers. The people who live our values — foresight, hard work, and enabling others — and make a real difference in the way they show up.

You might already know one of the fifty! Over the summer, we’ll continue to share with you stories from around the group from colleagues whose stories reflect the spirit of what’s to come.
